Sometimes, you need to record important phone calls. You have several options to record your phone calls, but when you place an audio call through WhatsApp, you may not have as many options. WhatsApp doesn’t allow its users to record calls. However, it remains a sought-after platform to place calls because it only requires a data connection. Wondering how to go about it? The good news is there are different ways to record WhatsApp audio calls; you only need a few third-party apps.

WhatsApp doesn’t officially allow users to record calls because of its privacy policy. However, you can record these calls using third-party apps on your Android as well as on your iPhone. Here are a few steps you need to follow to get started:

Recording a WhatsApp audio call on Android

You will be required to download a third-party app to record audio calls to your phone. Download a call recording app on the Play Store, such as the Cube ACR. It can capture audio voices. You can configure automatic recording and even exclude specific callers. The ability to manually activate call recording is also available. Every time you receive a call after that, the app will show a widget for call recording. Calls made using other applications, like Telegram, Slack, Zoom, Facebook, Signal, and others, can also be recorded with Cube ACR.

  1. Open WhatsApp
  2. Dial the contact you need to call
  3. You will see the widget of the app you download. Once you see this, that means the call is recording
  4. If you don’t see this, open the application on your phone
  5. Go to that particular app’s settings and click Force Voice to record your calls
