With the iOS 17 update, Apple introduced Contact Posters, a fun and creative way to personalise how you or others appear when making calls. Contact Posters let you design a unique visual for each contact, whether it’s a custom photo, a Memoji, or a simple monogram, so you quickly identify callers, especially from your contacts list.
So, to get started on setting up your own Contact Poster on iOS, here’s what you need to do.
How to make Contact Posters with iOS 17
Before you get started with setting up your Contact Posters on iOS, make sure your iPhone is running iOS 17 or later. Once you’re set, follow the below steps to easily set up Contact Posters on iOS:

Step 1: Open the Phone app and head to ‘Contacts.’
Step 2: Tap your name at the top (it should say My Card).
Step 3: Hit the ‘Contact Photo and Poster’ button.
Step 4: You’ll then land on a screen where you can decide how you want your Contact Poster to look and choose from Camera, Photos, Memoji, or Monogram. If you pick Memoji, you can customise it by changing the name or selecting a different Memoji. For photos, select one from your camera roll or snap a new one. For a monogram, simply enter at least two initials.
Step 5: Once you’re happy with your design, preview it and hit ‘Continue.’ You can also adjust the contact photo that shows up in the Messages app if needed. Crop it to fit with your poster.
