How to install iOS 18.1 on your iPhone

iOS 18.1 is finally here and it brings a lot of new features to your iPhone including Apple Intelligence, Call Recording and more. But before you get to use all the cool new features, your iPhone needs to be running iOS 18.1.

Here’s a quick guide on how you can get your iPhone up and running with iOS 18.1, and which iPhones support the new update.

iOS 18.1: How to download and install

To download and install iOS 18.1 on your iPhone, head to the Settings app and navigate to General/Software Update and swipe down to refresh the page. If the update is available, you will see it here.

Simply follow the on-screen instructions to then download and install the update. It’s a good idea to also have at least 30-50 per cent battery on your iPhone, and be connected to a Wi-Fi network (or an unmetered mobile data network).

Your iPhone will restart once the update is installed, following which you should be running iOS 18.1, and should be able to use all the features mentioned above.

iOS 18.1 will come to every iPhone that supports iOS 18. This includes the following devices.
