Cleaning the mesh part in your AirPods

Take a small amount of micellar water in a cup. Then dip the toothbrush in the cup containing micellar water until the bristles are fully saturated. Hold the AirPod with the mesh facing up. After that, brush the mesh in a circular motion for about 15 seconds.

Once this is done, turn over the AirPod and blot it on a paper towel. Just make sure that the paper towel is in contact with the mesh. Repeat these steps for each mesh that you need to clean.

To rinse off the micellar water, rinse the brush with distilled water. You then need to brush the mesh in circles for about 15 seconds each. Once you are done rinsing micellar water off, allow them to dry completely. Ensure at least two hours before you place them back in the charging case or decide to use them.

Cleaning the body of your AirPods

In case your AirPods have been exposed to anything that can leave stains, it is best to clean the body of the AirPods as well. If it got exposed to soaps, shampoos, lotions, perfumes, detergent, oil, hair dye, or other things, here is how you should proceed.

Wipe the body of the AirPods with a cloth that is slightly dampened with fresh water. Then, dry them with a soft and lint-free cloth. Allow them to dry out completely before placing them in the case or attempt to use them.

Cleaning the charging case of your AirPods

Apple suggests that you wipe the case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If required, you can use a cloth dampened slightly with isopropyl alcohol to do the trick. Then let it dry out completely.

Just make sure that no liquid enters the charging ports. In case there is any debris, you can use a small dry brush or Q-tips to remove it. Avoid using any abrasive materials to clean the charging case.

And just like that, your AirPods will be back to their pristine white finish, looking good as new!
