HMD Global is partnering with Marvel to launch a Venom-themed version of its modular Fusion smartphone. With Venom: The Last Dance movie releasing on October 25, HMD Fusion is providing fans an opportunity to own a special edition smartphone featuring Marvel’s popular anti-hero, Venom.
This collaboration can mean a Venom-inspired aesthetic while maintaining the specifications of the standard HMD Fusion. Since a lot of details are still under wraps, let’s quickly recap the specifications of HMD Fusion.
HMD Fusion features
The standard HMD Fusion was introduced at IFA 2024 in September. The smartphone includes a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD Display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, and up to 12GB of RAM. The modular design makes it easy to repair and allows room for customisation.
It features ‘Smart Outfits’ in the form of interchangeable cases that offer additional hardware features like a ring light or wireless charging. The device runs on Android 14 and has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Coming to the cameras, the phone is equipped with a 108MP dual rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It has a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Venom-Themed Fusion expectations
HMD has teased the ‘Ultimate Symbiotic Phone’ with a short video on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube. The teaser suggests that the Venom symbiote will take over the standard HMD Fusion and give it a dramatic makeover.

The Venom-themed edition is expected to be available around the release of the film. Although the design details have not been disclosed, one can expect it to be dark and edgy to resemble the villainous character. Pricing details for the Venom-exclusive design is yet to be announced. However, the HMD Fusion is available for 249 Euros (approximately Rs 24,000).
Fans of Venom and collectors who believe in purchasing unique smartphone designs would be happy with this special edition smartphone. More details are to be revealed this weekend.
