In a world where smartphones demand our constant attention, HMD has come up with new music-focused feature phones that offer a refreshing alternative.

The HMD 130 and 150, both priced under Rs 2,500, bring back the simplicity of basic calling and texting while adding stellar music capabilities for those looking to disconnect from the digital noise without sacrificing their tunes. This announcement by the brand also comes in shortly after the brand announced the two at MWC 2025.

Whether you’re looking for a switch to simpler times or have someone in mind that you want to gift, check out everything you need to know about HMD’s two new feature phones.

HMD 130 and 150: Key features and specifications

For starters, both phones come with a sizable rear speaker that is meant for an enhanced sound experience. Additionally, they also come with dedicated music control buttons for those wanting to switch between tracks with ease.

Both phones even get a 2.4-inch QVGA display and come powered by a 2,500mAh removable battery. Additionally, HMD has thrown in Type-C fast-charging, which can juice up the phones for over 50 hours of music playback time, as well as lend 36 hours of standby time.

On the design front, the phones come with a scratch-resistant screen and reinforced corners to take minor bumps and drops. The only major difference between the two, however, is that the HMD 150 Music comes with a QVGA rear camera and an LED flash. The HMD 130 Music, on the other hand, only gets a Dual LED Flash (torch) at the back.

The feature phones support both wireless and wired FM radio, recording, Bluetooth 5.0, as well as an SD card expansion of up to 32GB. According to the brand, this allows the devices to stay aligned with their larger goal of enjoying music and media.

Lastly, the HMD 130 Music gets a built-in UPI payment support, and the HMD 150 Music features a scan-and-pay option, which makes digital transactions simple for users. HMD has included a text-to-speech function in English as well as Hindi for those looking for audio assistance.

HMD 130 and 150: Price and availability

The HMD 130 Music is priced at Rs 1,899 and is available in dark grey, red and blue colourways. HMD 150 Music will cost you Rs 2,399 and comes in purple, light blue and dark grey colour options.

Both phones can be purchased via leading retail stores and e-commerce stores, as well as HMD’s official website. If that’s not all, HMD is even giving away a one-year replacement guarantee on the two phones, which makes them a risk-free buy.
