GoPro has launched two cool new action cameras along with accessories that enhance performance and provide a longer battery life. The Hero13 Black and the Hero possess distinct features and capabilities for vloggers with different needs.

GoPro Hero13 Black: Specs
The new GoPro Hero13 Black records 5.3K Video at 60 frames per second. For smooth videos, it boosts HyperSmooth Stabilisation. It is also equipped with 13x Burst Slo-Mo that captures up to 400 frames per second in HD 720p, 120 fps in 5.3K and 360fps in 900p.

It records Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR Video that allows a 10-bit broadcast standard with Rec. 2100 colour space. As for Audio tuning, the camera offers customised tuning with balanced sound and enhanced vocal clarity. It is equipped with three mics, stereo, noise reduction and Bluetooth audio support.
Coming to the Battery, it features a new Enduro Battery tech that has 10 per cent larger capacity and is more efficient. It also extends battery life in all conditions.
In order to track various performance metrics and geotagging assistance, GoPro Hero13 Black GPS and performance stickers in place. It also allows up to 40 per cent faster content transfer via Wi-Fi. The Snap and Go Magnetic Latch Mounting offers multiple mounting options for users.
GoPro Hero: Specs
The GoPro Hero is the smallest and lightest 4K camera weighing 86g with a screen. If offers Intuitive Touch Screen which allows easy mode switching and framing. It is equipped with 2 mics and Bluetooth audio support.
Coming to image quality, it captures 4K and 1080p videos, 12MP pictures and 2.7K Slo-Mo. The GoPro Hero is equipped with HyperSmooth Stabilisation which can be improved through the Quik app. It can record up to 100 minutes with the help of a built-in Enduro Battery 1,255mAh.
Meanwhile, if you are looking for an action camera quickly for your travel plans, you can also consider the older GoPro Hero12 instead, which offers largely the same features and will also be a little more affordable.

Hero13 Black and the Hero: Pricing and availability
The Hero13 Black is available as a standalone camera. However, the Hero13 Black Creator Edition includes Volta Power Grip, Media Mod and Light Mod. Users can also opt for an Activity-Optimised Accessory Bundle that includes The Handler, extra battery, Curved Adhesive Mount, 64GB SD card along with a carrying case.
While the Hero13 Black standalone camera is priced at Rs 44,990. The creator Edition is priced at Rs 64,990 and the Accessory Bundle will be available at Rs 49,990. Pre-orders for Hero13 Black will begin from September 10, 2024 with availability from the same day.
The Hero standalone camera is priced at Rs 23,990. The pre-order begins from September 16, 2024 with retail availability from September 22, 2024.
