Google Pixel smartphones finally received the stable Android 15 update last month. Now, Google has released the first security patch following its release, and as you’d expect, it’s the latest November patch.

While the patch brings several fixes, it also improves the performance and stability of the UI on Pixel devices. Let’s see the details of Google’s November security patch and how you can install it on your device right away.

Here’s what Google’s November patch brings

Google’s November patch is the first Android 16 security patch for Google Pixel smartphones. It brings many bug fixes to improve the user experience on Pixel devices. It also adds some performance and stability improvements to the UI.

Here’s everything that’s getting fixed and improved with the November patch for eligible the Pixel phones.

Starting with the Bluetooth fix, the update fixes Bluetooth range issues faced by some users in certain conditions. It also fixes a small camera bug that automatically tilted the camera when switching between lenses for zooming to an object.

Some Pixel users were noticing white dots on their screen, which was a display and graphical bug, which has now been fixed with this patch. The screen brightness flickering issues for certain Pixel phones like the Pixel 8a has also been fixed.

Further, the patch notes confirm a fix for issue that occasionally prevented adaptive brightness from activating in certain conditions. It also brings keyboard dismiss issue, where users weren’t able to dismiss the keyboard to get access to the full screen.

Lastly, Google says that this patch includes some general improvements for performance and stability of the UI transitions and animations.

Eligible devices and how you can update

Eligible Google Pixel smartphones like the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 8, Pixel 7, and Pixel 6 lineup should get a notification for the update. But you can also manually update by heading to Settings > System > Software updates> System update. Just install the patch and update the device from there and your Pixel phone should be secured for November.
