Google introduced a host of upgrades with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, and Circle to Search was among some of its most notable inclusions. The feature, which typically allows a user to look up anything on the screen by simply circling it, is a convenient way to search without switching between apps.
However, despite remaining exclusive to Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy users for a while, it seems as though the company has plans to extend it to more Android devices in the near future.
Google Circle to Search might come to more Android devices
An Android Authority report revealed how multiple reviewers of the Tecno Phantom smartphone were told that the feature would make its way by October. A tipster stated how debuting the feature on other phones will ultimately end the Circle to Search exclusivity on Pixel and Samsung devices.

In his post, he mentions that Circle to Search will soon be added to the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 phone. The report also notes how the Chinese smartphone maker confirmed this claim to several members of the tech press.
When will Google's Circle to Search be available to more Android devices?
While Google hasn’t confirmed or denied this report, there is a good chance that we may see the update passing on to more phones by early next year.
The report brings up an instance from Google’s annual developer’s conference, where the company mentioned its plans to incorporate the feature into over 200 million devices before the end of 2024. However, for now, Tecno confirmed that the Phantom V Fold 2 will receive it sometime next month.
Circle to Search can easily be triggered by long-pressing the home icon or the power button on a compatible device. Once done, users can highlight text, images or elements on their screen, and access relevant results using Google’s visual web search.
Google also seems to be introducing other updates to the feature, including the ability to search for audio as well as a handy ‘crop and share‘ tool that helps further sharing the image with contacts.
