Sucker Punch Productions, the maker behind the popular game, Ghost of Tsushima, is back with another title in the Ghost series. Ghost of Yotei is a follow-up game set more than 300 years after the events of Tsushima, and it introduces a female protagonist named Atsu.
Sony’s PlayStation official YouTube Channel has shared a game trailer, giving us insights into what to expect from the upcoming title. Let’s see everything we know.
What to expect from Ghost of Yotei?
Ghost of Yotei builds on the pillars established in Ghost of Tsushima. The new title is still set in Japan, however, more than 300 years after the events of Tsushima. The story starts in the lands surrounding Mount Yotei in Ezo, hence the game’s name. Ezo is an area of Japan that’s today known as Hokkaido.
In the trailer, we get to see Yotei in 1603, which wasn’t under Japanese rule then. We also get to see the snowy forests, sprawling grasslands, and in tune is the epic music.

The trailer also shows a set of animals Atsu meets and interacts with. There’s a horse, as well as a wolf, and we expect many other interactable elements in the form of animals.
When it comes to the graphics, they look crisp and improved over the Ghost of Tsushima. As for the release timeline, the game is set to launch next year, i.e., 2025.
However, it will be exclusively released for the PlayStation 5, at least at the launch. There’s no information on whether it will be ported to PC later. But since Ghost of Tsushima was made available to PC years later, PC players can’t lose hope just yet.
