In a year where Rise of the Ronin has already launched, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows is merely hours away from a cinematic reveal, many gamers who love themselves some Samurai-themed action are still stuck up on one game – Ghost of Tsushima. The fan-favourite PS4 game from 2020, once exclusive to Sony’s consoles, is now all over the news again.
That is because Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is coming to PC on May 16, allowing those with Windows-based gaming laptops and desktops to finally enjoy the game for the first time.
But it isn’t just about whether Ghost of Tsushima can become the next Marvel’s Spider-Man and turn into a hit on PC. The game also brings some new features and abilities that were missing from the PS4 and PS5 release.

This also allows PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 gamers to once again step into the sandals of Jin Sakai, pick up the katana and tanto, and protect the island of Tsushima from an impending Mongol invasion. Here are a few reasons why we’re excited about the game finally coming to PC.
Ultrawide and triple monitor support
Whether you have played Ghost of Tsushima on a PS4 or PS5, what we can guarantee is that you have been limited to the regular 16:9 aspect ratio on the consoles. However, with the new edition of the game coming to PCs, one of the most important additions is the support for ultrawide and triple-monitor setups.
If you have the right setup, you’ll be able to play Ghost of Tsushima at up to an insane 32:9 aspect ratio and enjoy traversing through the gorgeous island of Tsushima in all of its glory. Those who have a triple monitor setup will also be able to make the most of it by completely immersing themselves into the open world completely.
Upscaling support
Ghost of Tsushima on PC is also going to support upscaling technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3, which will allow those with older systems and less-powerful components to also enjoy the game at playable frame rates and enjoyable graphics. In short, with support for upscaling, you will no longer need a very expensive gaming laptop or desktop to enjoy Ghost of Tsushima.
DualSense support with Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers
For the PlayStation 4 gamers who were never able to enjoy all the good features of the PS5’s DualSense controller, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the perfect opportunity to revisit the game.
All you need is a Sony DualSense or DualSense Edge controller, and you will be able to play the game on PC with all the cool features like Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers completely supported. Do keep in mind that these features will only work on a wired connection with your system.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut PC launches tomorrow, and will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. If you want to go ahead and pre-purchase the game, today is your last day to claim all the pre-purchase exclusive goodies.
Meanwhile, if you’re wondering if your gaming PC is worthy of picking the up the katana, you can check out the system requirements of the game.
