Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most critically acclaimed games there has been in recent times, owing to its stunning landscape and realistic combat mechanisms, set in feudal Japan during the first Mongol invasion.
However, a niggle players have had for long now, is that the game was a PlayStation exclusive. While those on the PS4 or PS5 could enjoy the game, there had been no word on a PC port for the game either. Until now. Read on to find out more.
Ghost of Tsushima PC port release: What we know
Rumors are that the announcement for a PC port of Ghost of Tsushima could be around the corner. This is owing to the rather specific pattern Sony has had with PC ports for PlayStation games in the past.

For example, Horizon Zero Dawn was released for PS4 in February 2017, and its PC port came in August 2020. Similarly, Marvel’s Spider-Man was launched for PS4 in September 2018, PS5 in November 2020, and its PC port in August 2022. Horizon Forbidden West, which was released for PS5 in February 2022, came to PCs in March this year.
Keeping in mind the above pattern, Ghost of Tsushima, which was initially released for PS4 on July 17, 2020, and August 20, 2021, for PS5, is likely to receive a PC port in July 2024.
When do PC ports for PlayStation games usually land?
For the most part, PC ports of PlayStation-exclusive games have either launched in the same month or only a month or so before or after. For example, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released on PS4 and PS5 in November 2020, and for PC, in November 2022.

Given the same, it is expected that an announcement for Ghost of Tsushima could come in as soon as today, and as mentioned above, the game could be released for laptops and desktops sometime in July– give or take a month. Fans waiting for the game until then, keep an eye out for the announcement!
