Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC is coming out in May

Just two days ago, we first saw reports that an announcement may be coming for Ghost of Tsushima’s PC port. And now, Nixxes Software and Sucker Punch Productions have confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is (finally) coming to your laptops and desktops on May 16. Read on to find out more.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC: Features to look out for

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut includes the full base game, as well as the Iki Island expansion pack and a cooperative online multiplayer legends mode.

Ghost of Tsushima, for the unaware, is an action-adventure game set in feudal Japan, while it grappled with the first Mongol invasion. Players assume the role of the protagonist, Jin Sakai, who has been raised in the ways of the Samurai. The game explores his journey as he is torn between following the traditions of Samurais, or deviate from them to protect his home island of Tsushima by any means necessary.

Iki Island expansion pack

The Iki Island expansion pack consists of an island by the same name, which is lawless. Jin, while exploring the island, will be able to discuss new locations, but also take on multitudes of raiders and criminals while going about it.

Legends multiplayer mode

The Legends multiplayer mode consists of cooperative two-player story missions, or four-player wave-based combat and survival missions. There is also a two-vs-two rivals mode, wherein players can play in one of four classes – Samurai, Ronin, Hunter, or Assassin.

Other features to look out for

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC comes with several performance enhancement features, including NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 for upscaling frame generation, support for NVIDIA DLAA or FSR 3 Native AA to boost image quality, and more.

The game also gets ultrawide monitor support, to be able to immerse yourself in the expansive terrain of the game. The game is full fully optimised for 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions on PC. What’s more, it even supports 48:9 resolutions for a triple-monitor setup.

That’s not all. The game supports Steam Input to remap and customise controls on your external controller, and it gets support for PlayStation’s DualSense controller which allow for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Xbox players will also be able to use their Series X/S controllers to play the game.

Sucker Punch Productions still hasn’t released the minimum and recommended PC specifications for the game as of yet. Hopefully, they should do so as we get closer to the launch date of the game, on May 16.
