The watches sport typical rugged designs, with leak-proof buttons to prevent ingress of water, and a sensor guard to protect all of the sensors inside the watch. One can also get an optional titanium bezel and a scratch-resistant sapphire glass to further enhance their smartwatch’s durability. The case on the smartwatches is rated for water resistance for up to 40 metres as well, making it perfect for scuba divers.
The Garmin Fenix 8 series of smartwatches get speakers and microphones for calling and voice commands, as well as support for two-way messaging with your friends and family via the Garmin Messenger app. Oh, and they get super handy in-built LED flashlights, for which the brightness can be controlled directly from the display. Additionally, one gets to see storm alerts, virtual breadcrumbs for the return trip, distance to destination, and total ascent and descent metrics, amongst several other features.
