While it’s hard to believe that 2025 is just around the corner (seriously, where did the year go?), December 2024 is closing things out with a stellar lineup of games. As the year winds down, December delivers an exciting array of titles spanning every corner of the gaming spectrum.
You’ll go from uncovering archaeological mysteries in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to unleashing chaos in the Marvel multiverse with Marvel Rivals. Not to be outdone, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide also finally lands on PlayStation 5 this month, offering a gritty co-op experience where you’ll fight to survive the horrors of a Chaos-infested hive city. And that’s just scratching the surface!
Whether you’re into action-adventure, team shooters, or immersive sci-fi, here are all the upcoming video games releasing in December 2024.

1. Alien: Rogue Incursion
If you’re a fan of the Alien franchise, you’ll no doubt remember the nerve-wracking terror. Alien: Rogue Incursion takes that fear up a notch with a brand-new story set on the perilous planet Purdan.

You’ll play as Zula Hendricks, a hardened survivor investigating a research facility that’s been completely overrun by Xenomorphs. With her squadmate missing, Zula has to navigate its dark, claustrophobic halls while battling some of the galaxy’s deadliest creatures.
Alien: Rogue Incursion launches on December 19 for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 3, and Steam VR.
2. Delta Force
The iconic Delta Force series is making a comeback, promising an exciting new chapter in tactical shooters. This is a free-to-play, first-person shooter that delivers massive PvP battles, high-stakes extraction missions, and a reimagined Black Hawk Down campaign.
The game combines the large-scale action of Battlefield with the tactical intensity of Escape From Tarkov, creating an experience that’s equal parts strategy and spectacle.
Launching on December 5, 2024, Delta Force will be available on PC, consoles, and mobile platforms like Android and iOS.
3. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indy is finally getting the AAA treatment he deserves in MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, an action-packed adventure that puts you in the shoes of the legendary archaeologist.
Set in 1937, the story takes place between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. With a mix of first- and third-person gameplay, you’ll experience the full Indy adventure with dynamic mechanics like whip-cracking, puzzle-solving, and sneaking past enemies.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle drops on December 9, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC, with a PS5 release in Spring 2025.
4. Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals is here to shake up the hero shooter scene, offering Marvel fans a fresh way to jump into the action with their favourite characters. Developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, this free-to-play 6v6 multiplayer game mixes fast combat with a unique storyline.
The game’s roster is stacked with 28 characters, from legends like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hulk, to hidden gems like Peni Parker and Jeff the Land Shark. It also features something called “Dynamic Hero Synergy,” which lets you pair characters for epic team-up moves, like Magneto and Scarlet Witch using chaos magic and metal manipulation together.
Marvel Rivals launches in December 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
5. UFL
After nearly a decade in the making, UFL is finally ready to drop. Developed by Strikerz Inc., it is a fresh take on the popular football games and promises to put player skill over spending power.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, UFL promises to deliver impressive visuals, realistic player models, and immersive stadiums. With over 4,000 FIFPro-licensed players and partnerships with clubs like West Ham United, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Celtic, the game also offers a deep roster and even allows players to build their dream teams, customise kits, and create strategies for modes like online matches and career mode.
With global icons like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kevin De Bruyne backing the game, the game is already getting tons of buzz. UFL launches on December 5, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
6. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is about to drop on PlayStation 5, and if you’ve been craving intense co-op action, this is one you don’t want to miss.
Set in the grimdark Warhammer 40K universe, you’ll join an elite squad of Inquisitorial agents on a dangerous mission to take down a Nurgle cult threatening the Hive City of Tertium. The game features four customisable classes including, Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker, each offering unique abilities and playstyles to suit every type of player.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be available on PlayStation 5 starting December 3, 2024.
