Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 launched with self-timer and enhanced group photo feature

Fujifilm is best known for its lineup of instant cameras which are usually preferred by hobbyists and photographers-in-making. However, it is after 10 years of wait that the company has announced a successor for its Instax Mini 300 series.

Fujifilm recently unveiled the Instax Wide 400 which comes with a design overhaul and a host of updated features. Wondering if the camera is for you? Check out the rest of the post for additional details.

Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 key features to look out for

For starters, the Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 is ideal for those looking to capture landscapes and is compatible with a double-card-sized wide-format film. This means the camera can produce 4.25 x 3.34-inch prints, which are double the size of a Fujifilm Instax Mini.

The company also mentions how this is an ideal size for landscape photos and group selfies. Moreover, the photo prints also develop in 90 seconds.

Unlike its predecessor, the instant camera also gets a fresh, revamped look and is available in a new sage green colourway. Fujifilm has given it rounded corners, and the optical viewfinder rests to the right of the camera. The new positioning ensures that the camera remains at the centre of the photographer’s face, rather than jutting out on one side.

For better selfie photos, Fujifilm has even thrown in a new self-timer feature which can be set between two to 10 seconds. Apart from this, users can also switch between landscape and close-up modes based on the subject they wish to capture.

However, the company has done away with the ‘high key’ and ‘low key’ camera features that were seen in the Instax Wide 300. The features essentially helped in adjusting the brightness of the photos manually and photographers now will no longer have this option.

Lastly, the camera comes with a camera angle adjustment accessory to help capture better group shots. So, if you’re looking to get creative with your instant camera prints, you no longer need a tripod to perfect your photos.

Fujifilm Instax Wide 400: Price and availability

The Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 will be available starting June 23 and is priced at Rs 18,990. Apart from this, Fujifilm has also introduced three new colourways for its Instax Mini LiPlay; these include Matcha Green, Misty White and Deep Bronze.

The smartphone and camera printer are also priced at Rs 18,999. It can additionally record sounds and develop them into a QR code for your photo prints. If you’re looking for more information on instant cameras, make sure you check out our Camera Buying Guide.
