Samsung launch event on July 26: Here’s everything expected to be announced

Samsung’s annual Galaxy Unpacked event is all set to kick off, very soon. The South Korean giant officially confirmed that the event will take place on July 26 at 4:30 PM IST. Furthermore, it has also put all rumours to rest with the event’s teaser image. We are going to see the next generation Samsung foldable phones.

Essentially, Samsung is widely expected to take the wraps off the next-generation Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold smartphones. Additionally, we could also see the unveiling of the next-generation Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Tab and a Galaxy SmartTag. Here’s a roundup of everything expected to be unveiled at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.

New Samsung Galaxy Z Fold smartphone

The next Galaxy Z Fold, expected to be called Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, is expected to be an upgrade over the fourth-gen foldable from last year. The Galaxy Z series’ newest foldable phone is set to be one of the highlights of the event, considering Samsung is currently leading the foldable phones race, amidst other brands like Google and OnePlus also set to enter the segment.

As per leaks the new Galaxy Z Fold device is expected to be the first in the series to fold completely flat. Previous iterations of the device have been notorious for having a small gap when folded, which is a design choice many users do not approve of. Apart from these changes, the phone is also expected to pack updated specifications including a more powerful chipset.

New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphone

The next Flip phone, expected to be called Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, is also expected to come with a new design. As per leaks, this new device could include a larger cover display on the outside, bringing the Samsung Flip phone on par with some of the other recent launches, including the Oppo Find N2 and the new Moto Razr 40.

Apart from this, the upcoming smartphone is also expected to have two outer cameras and a new hinge mechanism that will allow the phone to fold flat without any gap between the two halves.

New Samsung Galaxy Tab

Further announcements expected include new tablets. These are likely to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. While information is scarce, rumours point at the tablets being powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. If this holds true, these will become Samsung’s most powerful tablets yet.
