The OnePlus 12R rolled out alongside the highly-anticipated OnePlus 12 at the ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event held in January. However, the first big software update for the OnePlus 12R has already been rolled out for its Indian users. The Android 14 based OxygenOS 14 can now be upgraded to 14.0.0.307 (EX01) and will feature significant camera improvements with a few bug fixes. OnePlus 12R software update: What's new?
The update, sized 400MB, will bring notable changes to the camera, and users will be able to click sharper, more detailed images under various lighting. Secondarily, it will also improve results for indoor photography and stability.
Keeping the importance of connectivity in mind, OnePlus has also improved network stability and the update will expand the smartphone’s compatibility and utility with Bluetooth devices. This means the OnePlus 12R will be able to have a more established connection with devices such as headphones or car audio systems.

Lastly, the new update also improves the battery consumption of the device. It will bring in adjustments to help reduce charge time and allow users to engage without dealing with power drainage.
OnePlus 12R software update: How to install the update for your device
OnePlus has gradually begun to roll out the update for all its Indian users; the global rollout is to follow suit. If you’re a OnePlus 12R user, ensure you have enough space and sufficient battery to install it on your device before you get started. To begin, visit the Settings app on your device and then in System. Within this, you will locate a System Update option. Tap on Software Update within this option, and then on Download and Install.
