Dyson has traditionally been known the world over for home appliances such as vacuum cleaners and air purifiers, as well as grooming products like hair straighteners and hair dryers. The company, however, is now making its foray into the audio space, with its new Zone noise-cancelling headphones.
If you’re wondering just why they’re important, consider this. In addition to the latest hits, the Zone also delivers purified air to you. Intrigued? Read on.
Dyson Zone key features
Dyson’s Zone headphones feature 40mm neodymium drivers and feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capabilities of up to 38db. The headphones, as per Dyson, are capable of monitoring and cancelling up to 384,000 surrounding sounds per second, using eight of the 11 microphones that are present on the headphones.
The other microphones are used for phone calls and transparency mode, when users would like to keep listening to their music but also be aware of whatever may be going on around them.
The Dyson Zone headphones feature support for up to 50 hours of play back on a single charge. Also, they can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in around three hours.
The Zone headphones can be equipped with a removable visor, which can supply clean air to a user’s nose and mouth on the move. If you happen to live in particularly crowded or polluted metropolitan cities then, you may want to give Dyson’s latest offering a whirl.

What’s more, the app can also notify a user of the air quality in their area at any given time, as well as give them a heads up when the filters of the visor on the headphones need replacing.
