Vacuum cleaners make life infinitely easier, with their ability to suck up dry dust particles and debris within minutes. Wet cleaning (or mopping) is a whole different story altogether, and a chore most of us dread. To help out with that, Dyson has just unveiled the Dyson WashG1, its first dedicated wet cleaner in India. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Dyson WashG1 wet floor cleaner key features and specs
Dyson’s WashG1 wet floor cleaner is designed to pick up and separate wet and dry debris in one go, from hard floors across large areas. It does this by using two individually powered microfibre rollers which counter rotate. These are also connected to a pump that distributes water evenly across the width of each roller.
As the rollers go around, they scoop up dust particles and dry debris at a claimed 64,800 filaments per square centimetre. At the same time, they also spread clean water and mop it up, to remove any stains or wet debris from your floor. In one go, the one-litre cleaning tank can help clean spaces of up to 290 square metres.

Maintenance on the Dyson WashG1 is also well taken care of. Post a cleaning session, dirty water is extracted from the rollers by the built-in extraction plates. While the dry debris and dust sucked up are moved to a separate removable tray using nylon-bristled inner brush bars, allowing for easy disposal.
Moreover, there’s also an auto-cleaning mode, which saturates the rollers with clean water on the highest settings and flushes the system to ensure the cleaner is ready for another round of cleaning.
What’s cool is, the wet floor cleaner from Dyson also gets hydration control, which allows users to select the levels of water with which they want their floors to be cleaned. Each motor is also tuned to run at speeds consistent with the hydration mode selected, allowing the machine to clean floors more efficiently.

The new WashG1, Dyson has confirmed, will be launched in India soon. However, just when it will go on sale and how much it will be priced at, remains under wraps for now.
