The Dyson Hot+Cool Gen 1 is a purifier that doubles up as a heating and cooling device

Only a few weeks after introducing the Big Ball vacuum cleaner, Dyson has taken the wraps off its Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1 in India. With an aim to tackle the deteriorating AQI that comes along with the onset of winter, Dyson’s new air purifier is designed to ensure high-quality air purification.

Apart from offering its signature core filtration and airflow technology, the air purifier is also equipped to heat or cool the room evenly. Here’s everything you need to know:

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1: Key features to look out for

For starters, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1 sports an intelligent sensor that can effortlessly identify particle pollution in a room. According to the brand, this includes dust and pollen (PM2.5, PM10), which the device displays in real time on its LCD screen.

Dyson has also thrown in a Night Mode that operates on a quieter setting for light sleepers. It also features a dimmed display and comes with a sleep timer of pre-set intervals of one, two, four and eight hours respectively.

The air purifier uses Dyson’s core filtration technology with fully-sealed HEPA filters that the company claims can capture up to 99.95 per cent of ultrafine particles. Lastly, Dyson also mentions that its Air Multiplier technology can deliver up to 290 litres per second of smooth and powerful airflow.

And if that’s not all, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1 can also provide thermal comfort by keeping your room warm in the winter and cool in the summertime, all while purifying the air in your space. This coupled with adjustable oscillation projects purified air across a room and is considered ideal for year-round air purification.

The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen 1 is priced at Rs 56,900 and is available in two colourways; these include Black/Nickel and White/White. The air purifier can be purchased from the brand’s official website for now.
