Hair straighteners and grooming products have made styling hair, no matter the texture, easier. But there’s no flawless finish without the effort, and that isn’t exactly ideal on a Monday morning. To tackle this, Dyson recently expanded its lineup of styling products by launching the new Dyson Airstrait straightener.
The device comes with a plateless design and uses high-pressure airflow to straighten stray flyaways, and without endless hours of drying and straightening. Wondering if the Dyson Airstrait is for you? Check out detailed specs, features and availability below.
Dyson Airstrait straightener: Key features and specifications
To begin with, Dyson has prioritised minimal damage and incorporated high-pressure airflow into the Dyson Airstrait. The technology, according to the brand, can ‘straighten hair as it dries’. It further mentions how the technique minimises heat damage and works on the tresses evenly.

The straightener also uses the Dyson Hyperdymium motor which gets a 13-blade impeller and spins up to 106,000rpm. The motor propels 11.9 litres of air through the machine per second, which is enough to straighten your hair while drying it.
The Airstrait straightener also gets a 45-degree airflow angle, which creates tension and straightens hair without any breakage. And if that’s not all, users can choose between wet and dry styling modes. Lastly, Dyson mentions that the hair straightener uses lower temperatures, which helps reset the hair’s bonds from wet, giving it a shiny finish.
Dyson Airstrait Straightener: Price and availability
The Dyson Airstrait straightener is priced at Rs 45,900 and is available in two colourways: Prussian Blue/Rich Copper and Nickle/Copper. The hair straightener can be purchased from Dyson’s official website and leading e-commerce portals online. Alternatively, you can also purchase the Dyson Corrale Rechargeable hair straightener, which offers a similar set of features within this price range.
