In the vertical shooting mode, it weighs only 795 grams, which is about 50% lighter than the RS 3 Pro, while it weighs a mere 850 grams in the horizontal shooting mode. In addition to this, the handle extension tripod weighs about 128 grams.
The new RS3 gimbal has a load capacity of anywhere between 0.4 to 2 KGs and can support most models of full-frame and APS-C format mirrorless cameras as well. Furthermore, despite its lightweight, it still offers all of DJI’s latest stabilisation algorithms, amongst other features.
The DJI RS3 guarantees relative ease to mount cameras , owing to its newly designed dual-layer quick-release plate. The same also allows for vertical shooting if one attaches the plate to the vertical arm. What’s more, there are no rotation angle limitations in the vertical shooting mode either. As is the case with the larger RS3, the sliding quick-release plates make it easy to balance a camera on it in just a few minutes.
The lightweight and compact form factor of the DJI RS 3, therefore, guarantees one-handed operation with ease, while producing results at par with its larger siblings.

The DJI RS3 Mini also features control dials, a joystick, a button to switch modes, a front dial adjustment, and even a record button.
All of the functions on the DJI RS 3 Mini gimbal are controlled via a 1.4-inch colour touchscreen, which lets you change modes, balance its motors, and even set timelapse and track recording settings, as well as a panorama.
