Dell Alienware m15 R7 gets an AMD edition in India

Dell India has launched a new variant of its Alienware gaming laptop – m15 R7 – with an AMD chipset under the hood. The Intel variant of the same laptop was launched back in April this year. With prices starting from Rs 1,59,990, here’s everything you need to know about the new Dell Alienware m15 R7 AMD edition.

Alienware m15 R7 AMD edition features and specs

The Alienware gaming laptop is now powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor, which features eight cores and 16 threads, with a boost clock speed of up to 4.7GHz. Buyers get a choice of a variant with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 6GB GPU on board or one with GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GPU. Rounding off the spec sheet is 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

You get a 15.6-inch FHD display with 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision certification, and ComfortView Plus low blue light technology that uses hardware-based protection to reduce stress on the eyes. Aiding the visuals is a set of speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Other features include an RGB-backlit keyboard with 1.8mm key travel, and Type-C USB4 port at the back for connecting external GPU cabinets, drives, and monitors. To keep things cool in the heat of a virtual battle, the Alienware laptop uses a Cryo-Tech cooling technology with five custom power settings – Full Speed, Performance mode, Balanced mode, Battery saver mode, and Quiet mode. These settings can be controlled via the Alienware Command Center software. Dell further claims that the m15 R7 delivers up to 1.3x more airflow with an 87% improvement in internal airflow.

Alienware m15 R7 AMD edition price, availability

Prices for the Alienware m15 R7 AMD edition start from Rs 1,59,990 and go up to Rs 1,99,990 depending upon the configuration you choose. The laptop is available in colour options of ‘Dark’ and ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ via online and offline channels.
