CMF Phone 2 Pro launch confirmed alongside a trio of earbuds

Following several teasers, CMF by Nothing has officially announced the launch date for its next smartphone. The CMF Phone 2 Pro will break cover on April 28 at 6:30PM IST. This marks the second phone from CMF, after the debut of the CMF Phone 1 in September last year.

The company has also confirmed the launch of three earphones alongside the CMF Phone 2 Pro including the CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus.

CMF Phone 2 Pro launch confirmed, design teased

The teaser image that accompanies CMF’s launch confirmation highlights four distinct circular elements: two large grey circles, one smaller grey circle, and one orange circle. This visual clue suggests a triple rear camera setup, likely including a main camera, an ultra-wide sensor, and a third camera for portraits or macro shots. The orange circle appears to point to the inclusion of a flash module.

CMF is once again embracing modularity and personalisation with the Phone 2 Pro. A close-up shot from the teaser reveals a tactile, textured back finish and a visible metallic screw on one corner, echoing the signature design philosophy seen on the CMF Phone 1. The screw may again allow users to attach accessories like lanyards or swap out back covers for a personalised touch.

While official specifications are still under wraps, earlier leaks suggest the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek chip, possibly the newly announced Dimensity 7400. The device is also expected to sport a slightly more compact 6.3-inch display, a significant size reduction from the 6.67-inch screen found on the original CMF Phone 1.

Three new audio products to be launched alongside the CMF Phone 2 Pro

In addition to the smartphone, CMF by Nothing will also introduce three new TWS earbuds: CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus. While the Buds 2 will succeed last year’s model, the 2a and 2 Plus will be entirely new additions. All three models will likely sit below the flagship CMF Buds Pro 2 in the product hierarchy.

With the event just weeks away, more details are expected to emerge soon. Given CMF’s growing focus on user customisation and the success the Phone 1 saw, the Phone 2 Pro could further solidify the sub-brand’s appeal in the affordable smartphone segment. CMF’s parent company Nothing also recently launched the new 3a series to much fanfare, which you can check out.
