If you remember, Nothing’s subsidiary, CMF last year, had taken the world of smartphone by storm by releasing the semi-modular CMF Phone 1. The geeks around the globe had plenty of fun, printing custom back panels of the device, to replace the default back panel on the phone. Now, CMF has confirmed the CMF Phone 2, by giving us a glimpse of the phone’s back panel design on their official X handle.

CMF Phone 2 to come with a glossy back with a matte finish
From what users on X could see in the video, CMF Phone 2 is set to come with a glossy panel with a matte finish on the back, which from the looks of it, is more polished and mainstream compared to the more industrial finish of the CMF Phone 1. The phone looks to retain its predominantly plastic build, which falls in line with that of the CMF Phone 1.

We also get a sneak peek into the modularity of the upcoming device in the form of a screw which was also shown in the brief video presentation. There’s the CMF by Nothing logo on the back, which changes its appearance based on the angle of the light that’s falling on to it.
The model that was shown in the video has a light teal colour finish and going by what Nothing offered with the CMF Phone 1, more colourways can be expected.
Users on the platform, commenting their thoughts under the post, seemed to be pleased with how the phone looks, with one user saying – “CMF – Classy Magnificent Fun”.
