Nothing sub-brand CMF has been teasing some new, affordable devices for a while now, headlined by the brand’s first smartphone. The smartphone, likely to be called the CMF Phone 1, now finally has a launch date.
Both the CMF Phone and the new watch will be launching next month on July 8. Here’s everything you need to know about the products, including what to expect.
CMF Phone 1
The first product the brand is set to announce next week is the CMF Phone 1. Being the brand’s first phone, the device is likely to be very different from the Nothing Phone series. All the teasers and leaks so far, have shown a bright orange panel (a colour we have seen previously on other CMF products) and no transparent back panel.

This makes us believe that the CMF Phone is likely to be a more affordable product compared to the Nothing Phone (2a). However, there have been some unique touches here. Nothing has shown a rotating dial which is part of the phone’s back panel, along with a what looks like removable back panel that users will likely be able to dismantle.
While this hasn’t been confirmed, this is what the teasers have been pointing towards. A removable back panel will however, have a few perks. Battery replacements, for one, will be easier and quicker, while users will be able to swap back panels out for alternate, customised ones.
Not much is currently known about the specifications of the CMF Phone 1 just yet, but thankfully, we don’t have much of a wait left.
CMF Watch Pro 2, Buds Pro 2
CMF also recently teased a new smartwatch that the brand will launch alongside the CMF Phone. As per a post on Reddit, the CMF Watch Pro 2 will have a round dial and an aluminium body. The watch will be the second wearable from CMF, and the first to feature a round dial, which looks similar to the Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch series. The watch can also be seen sporting a rotatable crown on the right side, similar to the one on Apple Watch models.
CMF is also launching a third product on the same day in the form of the Buds Pro 2, which will likely have more features compared to the brand’s current audio products. Other details on these products should be available closer to, or on the launch date.
