OpenAI has thrown in two new features to help create fun images almost effortlessly

ChatGPT will now allow you to modify DALL-E images with a cool new update

OpenAI’s DALL-E is a great tool for times you wish to whip up a unique image based on an idea. Only a few days ago, the tool received an update that will allow users to modify only a selected part of the image. However, in a more recent announcement, OpenAI also mentioned how users will be able to edit their DALL-E images without having to exit the ChatGPT interface. Wondering how this will work? Read on.

How to edit DALL-E images on ChatGPT

The first of the two new upgrades will integrate DALL-E image editing tools within ChatGPT, meaning you can perfect your photos without leaving the smartphone or laptop app. The feature came to light via a post on X (formerly Twitter), where OpenAI demonstrated its working with a video.

Secondly, DALL-E will now give you preset style suggestions for a little extra motivation for your final picture. These styles will be in the likes of suggested backgrounds and wallpapers that you can use for your prompt. DALL-E is currently running a third generation and is coming up with regular updates to ensure easier execution. While older versions relied on elaborate prompts to generate an image close to what you have imagined, OpenAI has now made it as straightforward as writing a one-liner to ChatGPT.

When will this feature be available on ChatGPT?

OpenAI has made the integration available to everyone for use and DALL-E now also adds a visible watermark and metadata to all its final pictures. This step was crucial to let a viewer know that the images were created using artificial intelligence. While there are many known ways to bypass this inclusion, it still marks a positive first step in regulating the wrongful use of AI for photos.
