Casio launches G-Shock that looks great on the wrist and is eco-friendly

Casio G-Shock watches are known for being built like tanks, lasting for ages once you have bought them. Now, Casio is adding to the G-Shock lineup, some eco-friendly watches that will also add a touch of colour to your wrist.

The new lineup of Casio G-Shock Watches is called the Casio G-Shock GMDB300SC and is priced at $120 (approximately Rs 10,000).

The Casio G-Shock GMDB300SC comes packing with a step-tracker, so that you can stay on top of your health goals, which you can also dial-in on the watch itself. You can set a goal between 1,000 to 50,000, and get alerted when you hit that goal. The step tracking data will be synced to your phone over a Bluetooth connection, and you can check it in the CASIO WATCHES app.

The watch comes in three colourways – turquoise, coral orange, and white, so that you can add a nice hint of colour to your workouts.

Living up to the G-Shock name, which many associate with toughness, the watch is water resistant up to 200 metres, and is also shock resistant. When connected to the phone, the watch also automatically syncs the time, meaning you won’t have to go through the hassle of changing the time on your watch, every time you switch a time zone.

The Casio G-Shock GMDB300SC is also equipped to show the time in 3,000 cities around the world, so the globetrotters don’t need to worry. And, when on the track, you can make use of the 1/100 second stopwatch, which can store 200 records, a countdown timer, and 5 daily alarms too!

The LED light that helps see time at the night and the watch, is powered by the CR2016 batter with a power saving mode. Although, with a claimed lifetime of up to two years, you barely would need to toggle it on.
