Asus has announced its latest flagship globally dubbed the Zenfone 12 Ultra. The smartphone comes with a large high-refresh rate display, triple-rear cameras with gimbal stabilisation support, and the latest Snapdragon 8 series chipset. Let’s see the specifications, features, and price of the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra specifications and features
The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra is built on the footprint of the predecessor, Zenfone 11 Ultra. Hence, it features a similar design, with some finer tweaks, adding to its design. There’s a trimmed camera island on the rear and a tall form factor.
The smartphone sports a 6.78-inch punch-hole display with an FHD+ resolution support. The LTPO AMOLED panel supports up to 144Hz refresh rate for gaming and smooth scrolling.
Powering the device is Quacomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Based on a 3nm node, it’s the most powerful smartphone chipset from the brand. It is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the device has a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 32MP 3x telephoto unit. There’s 6-axis gimbal stabilisation support for videos. Upfront, there’s a 32MP selfie snapper.
For hardcore users, Asus has stacked a large 5,500mAh battery inside the phone, which allows for an all-day usage. There’s also 65W HyperCharge support that is advertised to offer a full charge in 39 minutes. It also has a 15W Qi wireless charging support.

Other than this, the smartphone boots on Android 15-based Zen UI out of the box, and has IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone also comes with a few AI features onboard, including Call Translator 2.0 and AI Transcript 2.0. These AI features work on-device, thanks to Meta’s Llama 3 8B model.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra price and availability
The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra costs $1,140 (about Rs 99,990) for the sole 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It comes in multiple colour options, including Sakura White, Sage Green, and Ebony Black.
Unfotunately, the device isn’t available in India, and only European buyers can purchase it for now. However, you can consider some of its alternatives, like Galaxy S25 Plus and the OnePlus 13, if you are willing to purchase a powerful flagship phone with similar features as the Zenfone 12 Ultra.
