Only a few short weeks after introducing the iPhone 16e to the world, Apple CEO Tim Cook has taken to social media to tease another upcoming launch. On Monday, via a post on X (formerly Twitter), he shared a cryptic video with a message reading ‘There’s something in the AIR’. But if that’s not all, the caption to this video also read ‘This week’. MacBook Air M4, iPad Air M3: What's expected?
The teaser, which sparked various online debates, speculated about a potential launch of a MacBook Air M4 and an iPad Air M3. According to a post by analyst Mark Gurman, the new MacBook Air is likely to maintain a slim exterior, similar to that of its predecessors. Apart from that, Apple is also expected to unveil both 13 and 16-inch variants at the launch.
A significant change also hints at the company introducing the new M4 chip for its MacBook Air. The addition is reportedly said to improve the device’s performance as well as its energy efficiency.

The new iPad Air, on the other hand, could come fired up with Apple’s M3 chipset, and in 11 as well as 13-inch sizes. Other improvements in the pipeline could also mean greater energy efficiency, as well as improved CPU and GPU performance. Lastly, the new iPad Air 2025 could possibly also house ProMotion technology for a more fluid display experience.

While the post does mention that the launch could take place sometime this week, it doesn’t give away any other information. Several even believe that the new iPad Air 2025 may not even launch until later this month. However, it is best to take it with a pinch of salt until the brand announces these changes officially.
