Apple Music Replay 2024 has arrived: How to recap your listening habits

The wait is finally over! Apple Music Replay 2024 is here, and users can now view their personalised playlists and insights on their listening habits this year.

Apple Music users can access their most-played songs, artists, albums of 2024. This year, users can also dive into insights within the app and can also share it as a motion video in the form of a personal highlight reel on their social media handles.

This year’s Replay includes some new features like Top 100, 500, 1,000 listeners, Listening Streaks, Top Artist Streak, Replay by Month, and Date of First Play.

Apple Music Replay 2024: Listening insights

Expanding on their listening insights from previous years, Apple Music now allows subscribers to discover if they have made it into not just the Top 100 but the ‘Top 500 or Top 1,000’ listeners of any of their favourite artists or genres.

‘Listening Streaks’ refers to the longest consecutive days a particular song has been played by the user on Apple Music. ‘Replay by Month’ allows users to relive the experience through monthly insights. It will include the top songs, artists, and albums from each month of 2024.

Based on the most-played music of each month, Apple Music users can discover if they are a loyal fan. The ‘Top Artist Streak’ allows users to look back if they have had an artist as their #1 artist for multiple consecutive months.

Fans can also find out the date they first listened to their top song, artist, and album in 2024 through the ‘Date of First Play’ insight.

This year, Apple Music introduces Replay for Artists. Available on the Artist dashboard, insights including Total minutes, Total listeners, Top cities and Top Shazam will be made available to all qualifying artists. These Replay insights will provide artists with an overview of their year on Apple Music.

How to check your Apple Music Replay 2024

This annual recap has been made available within the Apple Music app. For users with iPhones running iOS 18.1 or later, ‘Replay 2024’ can be accessed from the Home, New, and Search tabs of the of the app.

For subscribers on previous iOS versions, their yearly statistics will be available via the microsite replay.music.apple.com. This time around, all insights are optimised so that users can share it on their social channels or through other messaging platforms.

Apple Music drops Year-End charts

Apart from the Replay 2024, Apple Music has also revealed its 2024 Year-End charts. These charts will celebrate the biggest songs of the year by Apple Music streams, Shazam tags, radio spins, read lyrics, and more.

The full suite includes the Top songs of 2024, the Top 100: Shazam, the Most-Read Lyrics, Top 100: Sing, and brand-new Shazam Global Radio Spins chart among others.

To wrap up 2024 on Apple Music, Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us becomes the top-streamed song on Apple Music globally. Beautiful Things by Benson Boone is the most identified song on Shazam, a music recognition service owned by Apple since 2018. Finally, Dua Lipa’s Houdini is the most spun song on radio around the world.
