Apple Music Replay 2023 is here; here’s how to check your top songs

It’s almost December, and with the year’s end comes in a flurry of year-end roundups by our favourite apps. And like every year, Apple has been the first to drop its Apple Music Replay 2023 with insights on our annual listening trends, top artists and most-played songs. In fact, the platform also crowned Taylor Swift as Apple Music’s Artist of the Year for 2023.

Of course, we love the idea of juicy statistics that will take up all our social media space for the next couple of days, but it isn’t always easy to locate them. Unlike Spotify, Apple Music still takes up a web-based approach to display the previous year’s activity.

In fact, you can still access your Apple Music Replay songs on the smartphone or laptop app. However, if you’re unable to find yours and are here to learn how, we have the process broken down for you step by step.

How to find your Apple Music Replay 2023 songs

Every year, Apple Music comes up with a list of your top songs based on your listening history. Along with this, you have your top genres, artists and also a few quirky statistics. If that’s not all, it also goes on to mention the top-played artist of the year and the 100 most popular songs. Here’s how to go about checking yours:

Step 1: Visit the official Apple Music Replay page

Step 2: Click on the Get Started button

Step 3: Once the page loads, enter your Apple ID and password

Step 4: After signing in, you will find a Continue button your screen; click on it

Step 5: You will then come to the Replay 2023 page, where you can click on Get Started to view your statistics

Step 6: The page will then load with your total minutes, and you can swipe on to view other insights

You also have dedicated social buttons on the infographics to post your favourite statistics on Instagram or X (formerly Twitter). If you can’t find your Replay playlist, chances are you have the Use Listening History button switched off in Settings.

What's new this year on Apple Music Replay 2023?

Unlike Spotify, Apple Music still doesn’t have an app-based approach. This means you still have to go via a browser page and log in to find your year-end statistics. And while Apple has included most of the elements that a Spotify Wrapped does, users have still expressed their disappointment online as the statistics have just not been ‘shareable’ enough. This year, though, Apple has interestingly added Apple Music Sing songs and has determined which were the top played karaoke tracks.

Despite the addition, there hasn’t been a significant change in the way it presents to you your charts. Many still believe it is the personal touch that makes Spotify more exciting to users; it seems that Apple Music Replay still has a long way to go before it begins making a mark on social media platforms.
