For years, Apple has been making two major announcements every year – a software-centric announcement (iOS, iPadOS) at WWDC in June and a hardware-centric release (iPhones, AirPods, Apple Watch) in September-October.
However, over the years, Apple has introduced several new products in its portfolio, which could make it difficult to fit everything into just two events. Now, as per a new report, Apple could be moving away from its traditional two-event-cycle and adopt a more fluid approach.
Apple's multiple event approach
Apple, this year, had three events so far. One in May for the new iPads, another one in June, holding its annual WWDC conference for software, and the third event in September for the iPhones and hardware like Apple Watch and AirPods. Now, it is said that there’s another event planned before the year ends – sometime in the month of November.

As per a Bloomberg report, this event could see a launch of new MacBooks. The expected models include two 14-inch MacBooks, a 16-inch MacBook, new Mac mini models, an M4-powered iMac, and an iPad mini refresh.
Next year, Apple reportedly plans to launch more hardware in the first half, an unfamiliar timeline for Apple fans. Apple plans to launch new MacBook Air models, new iPad Air models, a new Magic Keyboard, an AirTag, and the much-anticipated iPhone SE 2025.
After this announcement, expect two more launches, one in likely June for the WWDC event and one in September-October for the 2025 iPhone models. Further, Apple is also expected to release M5 Macs later in H2 of 2025.
So, Apple’s overall release timeline looks to be more spread out than now. With an abundance of products, Apple appears to go the Android way, by holding multiple launches in a year.
