Avid Apple fans were treated to fresh M4-powered iMacs on Monday, but the company also gave a few much-needed tweaks to some of its accessories. Not too long ago, the company incorporated an EU-mandated transition from Lightning to USB-C for iPhones.
This time around, it has incorporated the long-overdue change for its desktop accessories. The new variants of Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse finally come with a USB-C port.
Apple incorporates USB-C ports for the Magic Mouse, Keyboard, and Trackpad
The company has gradually transitioned most of its products over the course of years. With this change, Apple brings the last of its products up to speed with the EU-mandated rule.
That’s right, the Lightning cable might just be a thing of the past. Apple’s latest accessories, which used the proprietary Lightning port since 2015, will now require USB-C Type cable to power up their devices effectively.
Apart from this, Apple hasn’t changed much with its devices. And much to the disappointment of its users, it also seems as though the Magic Mouse still comes with the charging port at the bottom of the device.
Apple Magic Mouse, Keyboard, and Trackpad price in India
Apple’s latest desktop accessories can be purchased in black and white colourways. Alternatively, they are also colour-matched with the new iMacs and are available in a total of seven options – green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, as well as silver shades.

Unlike the iMacs, they can all be purchased right away and as standalone accessories for your devices.
The Magic Mouse is priced at Rs 9,500, and the Magic Trackpad costs Rs 14,500 in India. Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Touch ID can be purchased at Rs 19,500.
Are there any remaining Apple devices that still come with a Lightning port?
As a matter of fact, yes. Among the devices that the company still sells with the Lightning port include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and the iPhone SE. Users can also still purchase the first-generation Apple Pencil with the Lightning port.
Apart from this, there also still exists Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (without Touch ID) that ships with a Lightning port.
