Apple announced its new MacBook Pro series a few months ago with the new in-house M3 processors. The new M3 chips brought more neural processing and hardware accelerated ray-tracing to Apple’s computers, but the expensive and heavier Pro MacBooks are not for everyone.
Enter the new and refreshed MacBook Air laptops, now also upgraded with M3 power. Here’s everything you need to know about these machines.
Apple MacBook Air M3: What's new?
The new Apple MacBook Air models don’t change much from their predecessors. The new laptops, available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, offer a similar design, albeit with the inclusion of the new internals.

With the M3 chip, Apple claims the new laptops will be able to offer a 60 per cent speed boost over the M1 MacBook Air models. The new machines also feature an improved NPU (neural processing unit) and will be much more faster and efficient at AI tasks.
The 13-inch MacBook Air M3 comes with 8-core CPU and GOU, as well as 8GB unified memory and 256GB SSD storage. The laptop also sports a 1080p webcam, MagSafe 3 charging, two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID as well as support for two external monitors. The laptop is also available with 512GB SSD storage.
The 15-inch MacBook Air M3 on the other hand, comes with 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. This is clubbed with 16GB unified memory and 512GB SSD storage. This laptop also gets a 1080p webcam, MagSafe 3 charging, two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports, and support for up to two external keyboards.
Other new features include support for Wi-Fi 6E as well as new Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum microphone modes for video conferences, something the company first introduced last year with the iPhone 15 series.

The new Apple MacBook M3 laptops prices start from Rs 1,14,900 in India for the 13-inch variant. Meanwhile, the 15-inch variant will be priced starting at Rs 1,54,900.
