Apple iPad Air 2024: What's new?
Apple unveiled the iPad Air with the M1 chip back in 2022, making this the first update for the tablet ever since. However, this time, the brand has updated the lineup, by making the iPad Air available in 11 and 13-inch size options, making the 13-inch variant the largest iPad Air unveiled by Apple so far. Both variants come with the M2 chipset, which powered the iPad Pro (along with other Apple devices) in 2022. The brand also claims that this will facilitate 3x faster performance and give way to ‘powerful machine learning features’ in the future.

The iPad Air 2024 lineup will get a front-facing 12MP landscape camera with features such as Center Stage, which uses machine learning (ML) to keep the subject in your field of view. Both iPad Air models also sport landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio; however, the 13-inch variant also gets ‘double the bass’ sound quality for video and music streaming. Lastly, Apple mentions that the iPad Air 2024 will be compatible with the new Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil (USB-C) and the Magic Keyboard, and users will be able to make the most of features such as Apple Pencil hover.
Apple iPad Air 2024: Price and availability
The Apple iPad Air 2024 comes in four new finishes; these include blue, purple, starlight as well as space grey options. The 11 and 13-inch iPad Air is priced at $599 (roughly Rs 50,000) and $799 (roughly Rs 67,000) respectively. Both iPads can be pre-ordered online today and will be available starting next week.
