Apple Intelligence was announced with iOS 18.1, allowing compatible models to run Apple’s own suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features. However, Apple Intelligence has been limited to the global markets so far. But that’s changing soon, as Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has confirmed the release of Apple Intelligence in India. Here’s everything you need to know about the feature’s India rollout.
Apple Intelligence India launch timeline
Cook, in Apple’s Q1 earnings call, revealed that Apple Intelligence is coming in more languages, including English to Singapore and India. For the unversed, Apple Intelligence was initially only available in English (US). Then it become available in English (UK) with iOS 18.2.
Now, Apple Intelligence will be finally available in India in the localised English language, allowing iPhone users in the country to easily use the AI suite without changing their iPhone’s region. Cook confirmed that the rollout will happen in April this year, which isn’t too far away.
In addition to localised English for India, it will also be available in languages like Japanese, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, and simplified Chinese by the end of April. Unfortunately, Apple Intelligence isn’t available in Hindi as of yet, and doesn’t seem to arrive anytime soon.
