Apple Intelligence will reportedly come to iPhones in late October

Apple Intelligence was among the highlights at the Glowtime Apple event 2024. However, the newly launched iPhone 16 series didn’t come with Apple Intelligence features out of the box. At the event, Apple revealed that Apple Intelligence would be made available as an iOS 18 update later. Now, a report has revealed when these AI features could come to the eligible iPhones.

Apple Intelligence: Availability

Apple had announced that Apple Intelligence will be made available in October 2024 as a part of iOS 18 updates. Now, a Bloomberg report has revealed that Apple will release the iOS 18.1 update with Apple Intelligence later this month around October 28.

He further mentioned that the delay in the rollout is to ensure that Apple Intelligence is free from bugs and that Apple’s AI cloud servers are well prepared to handle the traffic for heavy on-device processing.

Apple Intelligence will be available on the newly launched iPhone 16 series (all four iPhones), and the older iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max phones. To try Apple Intelligence, other users will have to upgrade their iPhones.

Features launching with iOS 18.1

Apple has been giving a taste of its AI features to iOS 18 beta users. The release of iOS 18.1 will include features like the Clean Up tool, Notification Summaries, Writing Tools, the new Siri user interface, and more. It will consist of automated email filing in the mail app, and an Image Playground app to create custom images.

The integration of ChatGPT, support for Genmoji custom emoji, and other features of Apple Intelligence will reportedly roll out as a part of the iOS 18.2 update which is expected to be released in December.

Since Apple Intelligence features will be released in a phased manner, other Apple Intelligence features will be rolled out over the next year.
