Devices coming with Artificial Intelligence is something we have been seeing for sometime now, however, not all devices that ship with AI are impressive. But Apple’s Ex-designer, Jony Ive has claimed that his next device will shake up the industry.

Yes, you heard read that right. Ive, who was responsible for the design of several iPhones in the past, is working on a new device, and he’s not alone. He is partnering with OpenAI to bring Artificial Intelligence to the forthcoming device.
Jony Ive’s AI device project is still at a nascent stage
As per a report in The New York Times, 10 employees are currently working on the project spearheaded by Ive and Altman. Ive plans to raise funds for the production of the upcoming product and they are expected to raise $1 billion (about Rs 8,400 crore) by the end of 2024.
Unfortunately, there’s no information about this a actual device, yet, however, it will indeed be heavily focused on AI. So, expect tons of AI features. It remains to be seen if it’s an AI device that intends to replace the AI functionality on smartphones, or if it’s an actual smartphone.
In the past, we have seen AI-focused devices like the Human Ai Pin and Rabbit R1, both attracted a bit of controversy for not being as promising to let users do away with their smartphones. Having said that, Ive and Altman’s upcoming device is expected to be something new, and given their expertise, we might just put our faiths on them and wait for the actual product to arrive.
