Washing machines have been here for more than a century now, helping us wash, clean, and dry our clothes effortlessly. But have you heard about a washing machine for humans? Yes, there is one, and it can wash and dry your body in no time.
Sounds interesting? Here’s everything you need to know about Japan’s latest gadget for humans, which uses AI to speed up your morning routine.
Here’s what you need to know about the human washing machine
Japan’s Science Co., an Osaka-based showerhead company, has announced a human washing machine that can rinse and dry your body in 15 minutes.
The actual washing machine looks like a transparent pod where you can sit back and relax, and within minutes you will be just about ready to leave for office. Yes, that’s the unique selling preposition Science Co. is offering. A gadget that can save you both time and effort, basically speeding up your morning routine.
Dubbed ‘Mirai Ningen Sentakuk’, the gadget uses AI to offer personalised bathing experience. What it does is set wash cycles based on the user’s skin type and physical metrics. Then, based on that wash cycle, it will throw high-pressure water jets and microscopic air bubbles at you.
When these microscopic air bubbles make contact with your body, they burst to dislodge dirt and clean your body thoroughly. And in 15 minutes or so, as the company promises, you should be ready for work. During the process of cleaning, you will also see calming visuals in front of you, giving you a soothing experience.
Mirai Ningen Sentakuk is inspired by a similar concept created by Sanyo Electric in 1970s. It is set to debut at the Osaka Expo 2025, where the company plans to allow 1,000 attendees to experience it firsthand. It’s worth noting that this will be a trial showcase, and the machine is expected to enter mass production sometime later.
