AI-powered editing gets a major boost

The feature that stands out in Adobe’s announcement is Generate Extend. This allows editors to seamlessly expand video and audio clips, solving the age-old problem of footage that’s just a little too short. This will definitely put a smile on the faces of the folks working day in and day out to produce videos for social media, documentaries, and advertisements.

Meanwhile, Media Intelligence is aimed at changing how you search for footage. It will work by analysing content at the metadata level, recognising objects, locations, and camera angles, saving you the hassle of scouring through terabytes of footage. AI will do the heavy lifting.

Apart from this, Premier Pro also gets AI-powered Caption Translation, which works in 27 languages, and Premiere Colour Management which will save the time spent in colour grading LOG footage. No guess work. AI will make the changes and convert the footage fed in, into SDR or HDR profiles. This will especially be helpful for folks with laptops or systems that might not have colour accurate screens.

After Effects is also getting major performance boosts, with faster playback, enhanced 3D compositing, and HDR monitoring, making high-end VFX work smoother and easier than ever.

On the collaboration front, Frame.io V4 introduces expanded cloud storage, AI-powered transcription, and improved security tools. This will ensure that creative teams will be able to store, review, and collaborate on massive projects without having to switch platforms.
