Acer has announced a bunch of new gaming monitors at CES 2024, but the highlight is an absolutely massive 57-inch gaming monitor that does more than just deliver a big screen experience. Here’s everything you need to know about the Acer Predator Z57 monitor.
Acer Predator Z57 monitor: What’s new?
The Acer Predator Z57 is a large 57-inch curved gaming monitor. It comes with a curved screen and 7680 x 2160 pixels resolution. If that alone is not enough for gamers looking for a new monitor, the Predator Z57 also packs a punch in its features and specifications.
These include 120Hz refresh rate, plenty of connectivity options, and mini-LED backlighting. The latter, allows the monitor to show much better contrast ratios than your average LCD monitors, making this a great device for movies and shows as well. It’s not quite OLED levels of contrast, but it’s the best you can find on a gaming monitor, so expect deep blacks and better night-time scenes.

The Acer Predator Z57 has 2,304 dimming zones, and supports HDR. It also comes with AMD FreeSync Premium and a 90W USB Type-C port with PD support. There are also two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.3 connector, making this monitor future-proof but also enough to run on some older systems.
A built-in KVM switch also lets users connect two devices and run the display from both at the same time. The large monitor can either split its screen into two halves to do this, or in a picture-in-picture format. This is great for those who have multiple setups and love multitasking, but don’t want to keep rotating their necks between two different displays.
Other features include VESA mounting support for wall and arm mounts, 98 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage and built-in dual 10W speakers. The stand you get with the monitor also allows for tilt, swivel and height adjustments.

The Acer Predator Z57 is priced at USD 2,499.99 (about Rs 2,07,707) and may be available in India later this year. While a great option for both casual and hardcore gaming, the Predator Z57 still may not be the best for competitive gaming, where you want more frames per second than the 120 frames this monitor will cap you at.
Regardless, it is nice to see other brands getting into the curved mini-LED gaming monitor space and taking the fight to Samsung’s Odyssey series, especially the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, which features similar specifications.
