New iPhone to M4 MacBook Air: 5 new Apple products we may see in 2025

Apple launched some fantastic products in 2024 – the iPhone 16 series, the M4-powered MacBook Pro series, and our favourite of the bunch – the M4 Mac mini. However, innovation must go on, and as we are in 2025, it is time to look forward to some more Apple products.

While some of these may be no-brainers, Apple is also expected to launch a surprise product or two this year. Here are five Apple products we think will hit store shelves this year, beginning with what should be the easiest guess.

Apple iPhone 17

Every year, the new iPhone series launches in September like clockwork, and we don’t expect this year to be any different. Expected to be called ‘iPhone 17’, the next-gen series could pack more camera and performance upgrades this year, and some new additions too.

Not only are we likely to see a new, slimmer iPhone 17 Air variant replacing the Plus variant, but we can also expect more new Apple Intelligence features on the new devices. It will also be exciting to see what new updates Apple has on the gaming side of things, considering the current iPhones can already run console-level titles natively.

MacBook Air (M4)

In 2024, Apple debuted the all-powerful M4 chipset with its iPad series – specifically the iPad Pro. Since then, the chipset has also come to some other products, including the 2024 Mac mini and the 2024 MacBook Pro. However, we are yet to see the chip come to the brand’s compact laptop lineup – the MacBook Air series.

That could change this year, and pretty soon too. Many reports claim Apple could launch the M4 MacBook Air models early on in 2024, which would make them available just in time ahead of the summer so students can grab one before the next academic year or a summer internship begins.

New iPhone SE

The iPhone 17 series is not expected to be the only iPhone Apple announces in 2025. The brand is also expected to bring its affordable SE series back to life this year. Multiple reports have been claiming for a while that a new SE iPhone has been in the pipeline. Now, it seems we could be closer than ever to its launch.

The iPhone SE 2025, which may also be called the iPhone 16E, is expected to feature a modern design unlike previous phones in the SE series, including Face ID, an all-screen design and a new camera setup. The phone could be powered by the A18 chip, which would also mean it will support Apple Intelligence on launch. More details should come out later this year.

iPad 11th Gen

Apple refreshed most of its iPad series in 2024. While the 2024 iPad Pro lineup got a massive M4-sized upgrade, the 2024 iPad mini and iPad Air got smaller changes. That left the base iPad series the only segment that did not get an upgrade. That could change this year with the next vanilla iPad – which could be called the iPad 11th Gen.

The next iPad is expected to launch early, before March 2025, so don’t be surprised if Apple quietly surprises us out of nowhere like it did with the iPad mini last year. While not a lot is known about the next iPad, one certain upgrade will be in the chipset department, in order to get the iPad to also support Apple’s AI features.

A redesigned Magic Mouse

Apple’s Magic Mouse is one of those rare products that has been around for years without any major redesigns. However, that could change very soon. A report has suggested that Apple is working on a completely redesigned Magic Mouse, that will not only look different, but fix a key annoyance.

Yes, we’re talking about the charging port on the bottom, which could either be moved or eliminated this year (by switching to external batteries again). The new Magic Mouse is also expected to have better ergonomics for long hours of use, and could very well pack support for some new gestures too.

Those are the five products everyone expects Apple to announce this year. While none of these have an exact launch date right now, we could have more details on the products as we head deeper into 2025.
