Along with its flagship smartphones, Xiaomi also announced a new series of tablets. This new Xiaomi Pad 7 series, includes the Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. There’s a lot to talk about the new tablets, so let’s get on with it.
Xiaomi Pad 7 key features, specs
The Xiaomi Pad 7 series features an 11.2-inch LCD screen with a 3.2K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate which is slightly bigger than its predecessor. The display features a peak brightness of 800 nits. It comes with a new 3:2 aspect ratio which makes it ideal to use for mobile work.
With a sleek all-metal look and a lightweight build makes it ideal for portability. The Xiaomi Pad 7 series is designed for AI-enhanced productivity. They will run HyperOS 2 which will make the interconnection between the newly announced smartphones and tablets more convenient. The new operating system offers PC-level multitasking capabilities.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 comes with USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, quad speakers, quad microphones, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity helps with gaming capabilities of the tablet. It is powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. It supports an 8,850 battery with 45W fast charging which is considerably higher than the previous model. In terms of optics, the Pad 7 features a 13MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera.
The advanced Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro gets a slightly faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. It features an 8,850mAh battery with support up to 67W fast charging. It also possesses Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for faster internet access. Coming to the camera, the Pro variant includes a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 series will be available in three colour variants Black, Blue, and Green. The Xiaomi Pad 7 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 1,999 RMB which roughly amounts to Rs 24,000 while the 256GB storage variant is priced at 2,299 RMB (roughly around 27,000). The 12GB RAM with 256GB storage capacity will be available at 2,599 RMB (approx Rs 31,000).
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity is priced at 2,499 RMB (roughly Rs 30,000) and the 256 GB capacity will be available at 2,799 RMB (approx. Rs 33,000). There are two storage capacities available for the 12GB RAM variant also. The 256GB is priced at 3,099 RMB (roughly Rs 37,000) and the 512GB model will be available at 3,499 RMB (approx. Rs 41,000).
Both tablets have been announced in China to begin with. It is expected to roll out for other countries soon.
