Xiaomi introduced the second iteration of its operating system late last year, and since has brought its three core technologies (HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI) to several smartphones. However, the brand’s latest update is all set to bring in AI-powered dynamic wallpapers to select devices.
The feature typically allows users to create custom backgrounds and wallpapers using simple prompts. Wondering if your phone makes the cut? Here’s everything you need to know, along with other compatibility details.
Xiaomi HyperOS 2 AI-dynamic wallpapers: What's there to know?
Xiaomi’s AI-dynamic technology transforms ordinary still photos into animated, moving wallpapers through the company’s advanced HyperAI engine. The feature uses AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) technology to generate unique wallpapers based on user ideas or existing images.
This means the system adds animation and depth to static images, creating visually striking effects that bring your phone’s background to life. However, apart from this, Xiaomi has also implemented LivePhoto Cross-Ecosystem Transfer, enabling users to share dynamic images seamlessly between Xiaomi devices and iPhones.
How will this feature work?
To access this feature, Xiaomi users need to update their Theme Wallpaper app to version 7.1.8.0. However, if you own a Xiaomi tablet, you might be required to opt for a different update, which is build 8.8.6.5 or 9.3.0.0, respectively.
