Xiaomi launches Redmi Buds 5 TWS earphones with hybrid noise cancellation and 38 hours of battery life

The audio segment today is booming with options. There’s no dearth of options available for those looking to purchase a premium pair of earphones. In fact, brands like CMF by Nothing, Noise and Realme today also have begun to make cutting-edge technology available within a budget. 

Xiaomi, too, has introduced its very own TWS earphones within the budget bracket. Christened Redmi Buds 5, the new offering packs a punch with the features it offers at a modest price tag. Here’s what you need to know: 

Redmi Buds 5: Features and specifications to look out for

For starters, the Xiaomi’s Redmi Buds 5 come with 12.4mm dynamic titanium drivers that are incorporated for a superior audio quality. They have also been equipped with a 46dB hybrid noise cancellation technology that can block out almost 99.5 per cent of background sounds. Xiaomi has added a dual mic setup along with AI voice enhancement for crystal clear call quality on the go.

Redmi Buds 5 are designed to work seamlessly with the Xiaomi Earbuds App, and users will be able to switch between three key transparency modes. These will include deep, balanced, and light noise cancellation. Those looking to connect more than one device can also use the earbuds’ dual pairing mode for hassle-free connectivity. Lastly, Xiaomi has ensured a large battery backup of over 38 hours of case charge time for uninterrupted streaming. Additionally, you can also achieve up to two hours of battery life within five minutes of fast charging.

Redmi Buds 5: Pricing and availability

Redmi Buds 5 are priced at Rs 2,999 and will be available from February 20 on major e-commerce platforms, including croma.com. Users will be able to choose between three colour options, including black, white and sky blue. Other notable options within this price range include CMF by Nothing Buds Pro TWS earbuds, OnePlus Nord Buds 2 TWS earbuds and realme Buds Air 5 TWS earbuds.
