Xiaomi’s CIVI series is quite popular in China, which also happened to be the only region where Xiaomi would make the upper mid-range camera series phones. Now, we have the Xiaomi 14 CIVI, an all-round smartphone with some interesting specifications, launched in India.

Xiaomi 14 CIVI: What’s new?
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The display also offers 1.5K resolution and comes with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision Atmos certifications. The phone is also compact, coming in at just 177 grams and with a thickness of 7.4mm.

Under the hood, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also sports Xiaomi’s new IceLoop cooling technology and a new T1 Signal Enhancement Chip that promises faster network speeds and lower latency.
Coming to the cameras, which is the highlight of the phone here, we have a triple rear camera setup tuned by German camera-maker Leica. This includes a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Xiaomi also offers 4K video recording on all three cameras.
This is clubbed with dual front cameras in a pill-shaped notch on the front, comprising a 32MP main sensor and a second 32MP ultrawide sensor, which should help you take wider selfies.
With the Leica collaboration, users get several Leica authentic and Leica vibrant modes, features that were previously only seen on the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Other features include a 4,700mAh battery and support for 67W fast wired charging. There is also an under-display fingerprint scanner, NFC support, an IR blaster and Bluetooth 5.4 support.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI: Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI is priced at Rs 42,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, while the 12GB/512GB variant is priced at Rs 47,999. The phone will be available in Matcha Green, Shadow Black, and Cruise Blue colours.
Some other phones you can consider in this price bracket, include the OnePlus 12R and the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
