Xbox Series X ‘Wonka’ Edition is a treat for gamers who love chocolate

Gaming consoles like the Sony PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X may not be for everyone, but a console controller made of chocolate that you can feast on, now that’s something everyone would love! Thankfully, if you’re someone who’d rather eat a chocolate controller (than rage-quit and break a real one), Xbox has just what you need.

As part of a collaboration with Wonka, the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures movie, Microsoft Xbox has announced a limited-edition Xbox Series X console, complete with a matching controller, and another that’s entirely made out of chocolate.

While the actual console and controller themselves look like a big Wonka-branded chocolate bar and a chocolate-moulded controller respectively, the third edition in the package is an actual piece of chocolate shaped like a controller. Now that’s one chocolate I wouldn’t even pretend I want to share with my friends.

This isn’t the first time Xbox has come up with something like this. The console maker had also paired up with Barbie for a hot pink version of its controller, and even a pizza-scented controller that launched during the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

How to get the Xbox Series X Wonka Edition

Unfortunately, getting the console may just be more difficult than getting the ticket to Willy Wonka’s iconic chocolate factory. That’s because Xbox is not exactly selling these. Instead, Xbox is taking the Sweepstakes approach, and only a few users will receive one of these (if they’re lucky enough).

To register, users must make an account on X (previously Twitter) and follow the official Xbox account (@Xbox). They must also repost (retweet) the original post announcing the limited-edition version of the console, with the #XboxWonkaSweepstakes hashtag. This will give users one entry in the lucky draw.

Wonka releases next month on December 15. The movie stars Timothee Chalamet and will be a musical reboot of the 2005 movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which itself was an adaptation of the classic 1964 novel of the same name.
