WhatsApp will soon get new chat theming options

WhatsApp is arguably the most used social media app in India where millions of users chat daily. However, chatting on WhatsApp can get boring as it lacks customisation, which is where other apps like Telegram ace in. But not for long, as a new change is coming that will let WhatsApp users theme their chats like a pro, brining in more customisation and personalisation.

Make your WhatsApp colourful with new chat themes

WhatsApp chat themes may sound familiar, but no, they are not just new wallpapers. According to Android Authority, chat themes in the latest beta version of WhatsApp are a bunch of presets that you can try. These presets are, of course, new wallpapers, but now with theming options. You can set the chat bubble themes and choose to keep the chat wallpaper dark using a handy slider.

To access the new theming options, users need to head to Settings > Chats. You should see the ‘Chat theme’ tab where you can select a background for your chats and then a chat bubble will be accented to match it. As mentioned above, a slider will also help you tweak the brightness of the background.

This change will indeed make your WhatsApp more colourful and fun to use. But the feature is not here yet for the stable version of the app. So, you will have to wait for sometime to use it. Until then, you need to be a little patient and rely on the basic chat wallpapers.
